One of Eddie Murphy's upcoming movies at center of investigation due to problems on set

14:55, April 25

One of Eddie Murphy's upcoming movies is at the center of an investigation due to problems on the set.

The Amazon MGM Studios film "The Pick Up," which also stars Pete Davidson and many others, made headlines earlier this week after "several" crew members were injured. The studio confirmed the information and said it was "in the process of gathering facts." It has now been confirmed that a federal investigation has been launched.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the matter, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It was previously reported that the incident occurred during the shooting of the second part of this movie. The crew was filming a "pre-rehearsed" scene that "didn't go as planned."

According to an initial report by the Associated Press (AP), the incident occurred on April 20, while shooting the movie in Georgia. A truck was used in order to film the episode, which apparently crashed into another car. An unnamed source described the incident as a "totally freaky accident" and said it "wasn't even an elaborate or dangerous stunt." Two crew members were reportedly taken to hospital, and one remained hospitalized as of Tuesday. The injuries sustained by those involved included bumps, bruises, and broken bones, AP reported.
