Keanu Reeves wants to direct the third part of the Speed franchise with Sandra Bullock

14:34, May 9

30 years after the premiere of the action blockbuster “Speed,” Keanu Reeves wants to make the third part of the franchise. In the original film, Reeves played LAPD's Jack Traven alongside Sandra Bullock as Annie Porter, a bus passenger who becomes embroiled in an extortionist's plan.

“Speed” debuted in 1994, and the sequel “Speed 2: Cruise Control” was released in 1997, although Reeves did not star in the latter film and the film failed at the box office.

Reeves and Bullock appeared together on the "50 MPH" podcast, and Reeves revealed that he turned down "Speed 2" after reading the script because he "felt like it just wasn't right."

They also shared their mutual desire to reunite to make Speed 3.

"Before I die, before I leave this planet, I think Keanu and I need to do something on camera," Bullock said.

“It feels like a siren, like something hasn’t been done,” Reeves added. “I would love to work with [Bullock] again.”

Although there is no official project, fans can continue to hope that Reeves and Bullock will join forces for another action-packed adventure.
