Lenny Kravitz says he will remain celibate until he meets the right woman. In a recently published interview with The Guardian, Kravitz spoke about discovering that his father had been cheating on his mother. The father then told Kravitz that eventually he, too, would cheat on his wife.

“He turned out to be. After I got married [to actress Lisa Bonet], I became more like him,” Kravitz told The Guardian.

The Grammy Award-winning singer divorced Bonet in 1993 and revealed how he feels about his infidelities. “I didn't like it. I didn’t want to be that guy,” he said. “So I had to solve this problem, and it took years.” This, he said, meant “taking responsibility” and not letting “your desires take over.”

Kravitz said he hasn't had a serious relationship in nine years. When asked if Kravitz was being sincere when he previously stated that he would give up sex until he found the right person. Kravitz confirmed his position. "Yes. It's a spiritual thing."

Kravitz has previously said that he has no plans to waver on this issue. “This is a promise I made to God three years ago,” he said at the time.

In the past, Kravitz had affairs with such stars as Nicole Kidman, Adriana Lima, and Kylie Minogue.
