After acquiring the $300-million superyacht Launchpad, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now building another paradise at Lake Tahoe.
The Silicon Valley tycoon plans to build a complex of seven buildings, with an area of almost 700 square meters, on the western shore of Lake Tahoe, and surrounded by unparalleled natural beauty and views of the imposing mountains.
The American businessman, with a net worth of $176 billion, owns a complex in Hawaii—the Koolau Ranch, which boasts several mansions, an underground bunker, a village, and 11 tree houses connected by rope bridges.
With such eccentric ideas, Zuckerberg, 40, really needs a lot of land. And the aforesaid Lake Tahoe estate practically replicates this extravagant vision. A 2,000-square-foot main residence and 10-meter-tall structure don't seem out of the ordinary if you've been following Zuckerberg's real estate portfolio.
TRPA approved the construction of a wood and glass façade with a tiled roof partially visible from the lake, a gym, a gatehouse, an office, and a guest house. Also, there will be fire pits, bridges, and mulched trails throughout the estate.
