House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke has opened up about the "animalistic" sex scene that was ultimately cut from the series.
Olivia, who plays Alicent Hightower on the show, said she was involved in an "animalistic" and "sensual" sex scene that didn't make it into the final cut. “It was fucking dirty. It wasn’t pretty, but it was really fun,” Cook told Elle. According to her, showrunner Ryan Condal decided that this scene would not help to learn more about the characters, with which the actress herself slightly disagrees.
In the first episode of the second season of House of the Dragon, Cook participates in a sex scene with his co-star Fabien Frankel, in which his character, Christon Cole, “pleasures” Alicent. According to the actress, taking part in the series, she thought that she would have more sex scenes.
