Newly minted trillionaire Elon Musk celebrated SpaceX's triumphant public debut alongside the very employees who helped launch the company to its staggering success.

"Last Friday, Elon celebrated the IPO right at Starbase," a source told Page Six, referring to the SpaceX launch site located in South Texas.

"At heart, he's a very low-key guy and prefers hanging out with his engineers," the insider added, explaining that Musk wanted to share the milestone specifically with the people responsible for the company’s historic heights.

According to posts on X (formerly Twitter), the 54-year-old Tesla founder was accompanied at the celebration by his brother, Kimbal, and sister, Tosca Musk. (Note: Elon Musk turns 55 in late June 2026, making him 54 at the time of the event).

Meanwhile, SpaceX's top executives marked the occasion in New York City, painting the town red at the ultra-exclusive private members' club Zero Bond in NoHo. Sources described the event as a glamorous, high-energy affair. Earlier that evening, the leadership team had also kicked off the festivities at an official reception hosted at JP Morgan's investment banking headquarters.

Not to be left out, employees from xAI—the rocket corporation’s artificial intelligence sister company—gathered for a high-spirited cocktail and dance party at The Yacht Club in Chelsea.

The celebrations follow the historic milestone last Friday when Elon Musk officially became the world's first trillionaire, fueled by SpaceX’s public debut, which turned into the largest IPO in Wall Street history.

On its first day of trading, the stock debuted on the Nasdaq and closed the session at $161.11 per share—surging 19% above its initial target IPO price of $135. The explosive rally propelled the company's market capitalization past a staggering $2 trillion.

The mind-boggling valuation instantly cemented SpaceX as the sixth most valuable company on the planet.

"The whole point of SpaceX is to build the sci-fi and create an exciting, inspiring future for everyone," Musk stated after ringing the ceremonial opening bell directly from the Starbase launchpad. "SpaceX is about getting you to the Moon, to Mars, and ultimately, far beyond."

The momentum shows no signs of slowing down: SpaceX shares continued their meteoritic rise on Monday, jumping nearly another 20% during the first full trading session after the weekend.

The blockbuster financial win further solidifies Musk’s commanding lead as the world’s richest person. Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin currently hold the number two and three spots on the global billionaire index, respectively. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos sits at number four, while Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg rounds out the top five.
