Shakira has once again found herself at the center of fan frenzy. The buzz was triggered by her warm and playful interaction with 26-year-old footballer Ferran Torres on Sunday, coming right after the rising Spanish star scored the winning goal against Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final.

Shakira, along with 47-year-old comedian Kevin Hart, presented Torres with the Man of the Match award.

Piqué jabs and social media reaction

As the pop diva embraced the tournament's hero, fans flooded social media with satirical posts targeting her ex-partner, 39-year-old former defender Gerard Piqué. Fans joked that Piqué must be "kicking himself" watching Shakira flirt with the younger, handsome Torres.

The former couple spent 11 years together before their bitter, highly publicized split in June 2022.
