Louis Vuitton has turned makeup into the ultimate luxury statement. The brand has unveiled its first-ever La Beauté Louis Vuitton collection, created in collaboration with legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath and Nicolas Ghesquière, the creative director of women’s collections. Here, luxury is not limited to what’s inside the packaging — the cases themselves are coveted objects, with some accessories costing significantly more than the makeup.
The collection is divided into two distinct aesthetics: the light and sophisticated Monogram Dune and the dramatic Monogram Infrarouge. The first features sandy, rosy-gold and delicate shades, while the second leans into black, lacquered red, burgundy and holographic effects.

The lineup includes LV Ombres eyeshadow palettes priced at $340, LV Rouge lipsticks at $195 each and LV Baume lip balms at $195. One of the most striking shades is Galactic Veil — a translucent black balm infused with holographic shimmer.

But the real price shock comes with the accessories. Signature cases, beauty pouches and brushes transform an everyday makeup routine into a full-fledged luxury ritual. A set of five brushes costs around $1,200, while a case for blotting papers, complete with a mirror and 200 sheets, is priced at approximately $630. In other words, Louis Vuitton accessories can cost several times more than the makeup itself.

The brand is also emphasizing the collection’s appeal as a luxury collectible. The cases are crafted from Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram canvas, while the makeup packaging is designed to accommodate refillable products.

Buying all six makeup products will cost $1,460. Five accessories from one of the collections cost approximately €3,350, or $4,000. And for those determined to own the entire collection — all six makeup products and 10 accessories from both lines — the total bill comes to around $9,500.
