Lady Gaga has become a mother for the first time. The 40-year-old singer had unexpectedly disappeared from the public eye, and she has now been spotted for the first time with a newborn baby in her arms.

According to Page Six, Gaga and her 42-year-old fiancé, Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child. However, it remains unknown when exactly the baby was born, whether the child is a boy or a girl, or what name they have been given.

Shortly after the news broke, photographs emerged showing Gaga and Polansky out for a walk with the newborn. In the pictures, the singer is holding the baby close to her chest in a baby carrier. The photos were taken in Northern California.

Back in August, Gaga was spotted during a chance encounter with a fan in Northern California, when the singer posed for a selfie. After that, she largely disappeared from the public eye.

Gaga’s latest major tour, The Mayhem Ball, concluded in April, and since then the artist has maintained a much more private lifestyle.

Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has been in a relationship with Michael Polansky since 2019. The couple announced their engagement in April 2024.

Fans are now speculating that Gaga’s desire to keep her pregnancy and the birth of her child private may have been the reason for her prolonged absence from the public eye.

So far, neither Gaga nor Polansky has officially confirmed the birth of their child. The singer’s representatives have also yet to comment on the reports.
