American art dealer, the owner of «Gagosian Gallery» chain of art galleries, an Armenian by his descent Larry Gagosian won the second place in the ranking of the most influential people in the art world carried out by the ArtReview magazine.
The first place in the top 100 most influential "2012 Power 100" took the art director of the famous DOCUMENTA(13) exhibition Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev.
The son of the Armenian emigrants Larry Gagosian started his business by selling posters in California. Today he is the owner of 11 galleries, one in New York, two in London, and one in Beverly Hills, as well as in Rome, Athens, Paris, Geneva and Hong Kong.
