Well-known American Armenian internet entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian had announced on Instagram that he will unveil his secret Armenian project.

And the co-founder of Reddit and Initialized Capital on Monday unveiled this project: the Armenian brandy, Shakmat.

Ohanian had visited Armenia earlier, with his team, and where he was engaged in this new project which he unveiled on his blog, and in the form of a promo video.

“Today’s the day I share my new Armenian Brandy, Shakmat, with the world!” he wrote on Instagram. “There are only 2,400 bottles in the first run, so head over to shakmatbrandy.com to get them while you can. This project couldn’t have happened without @flaviar_com and@elisabethgarvin who did all the work to bring this one-of-a-kind 23 year Armenian tradition to the world.
