Tom Cruise, Elon Musk's SpaceX, and NASA are preparing to shoot the film in outer space, and sources tell Variety the project has found its director - Doug Liman.
Cruise and Liman have already worked together on “Edge of Tomorrow” and “American Made.”
According to Variety sources, it will be partially shot in space. The film does not yet have a distributor, and the exact plot details remain unknown... A few years ago, the director invited Cruise to work on the “Luna Park” - it revolves around a group of renegade employees who venture to the moon to steal an energy source.
