American TV personality and actor Regis Philbin has passed away aged 88, CNN reported.
According to the host's relatives, Philbin died on the night of July 26, a month before his 89th birthday. President Donald Trump, who was personally acquainted with the actor, has already expressed condolences to his family.
Regis Philbin has hosted many popular TV shows in the US. He also hosted the intellectual show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”
In total, Philbin spent more than 17,000 hours on American TV. This achievement was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
