American actress Cloris Leachman has passed away aged 95, NBC News reported referring to the artist's representative.
The actress died on Tuesday at her home in California.
Cloris Leachman was born on April 30, 1926, in Iowa. After winning a beauty contest, Cloris moved to New York, where she joined an acting studio. She made her Broadway debut in 1950 in Come Back, Little Sheba.
Throughout her long career, Leachman has received numerous awards and prizes. She received an Academy Award and a BAFTA for best supporting actress in The Last Picture Show.
