Elizabeth II plants new kind of roses in honor of centenary of her late husband

British Queen Elizabeth II planted a new kind of roses in honor of the 100th anniversary of her late husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Express reported.

Society President noted that the flower was named after Prince Philip - The Duke of Edinburgh Rose. The plant symbolizes and recalls all the wonderful things that Prince Philip has done in his life. A new type of roses can be purchased: the collected funds from each of them will be sent to the Living Heritage Foundation, which is involved in helping children.

Prince Philip passed away on April 9, 2021 at Windsor Castle at the age of 99, nine weeks before his 100th birthday.
