Prince Charles's wife mirrors Queen Elizabeth II's look

15:35, March 16

Consort of Prince Charles Camilla Parker Bowles came to the service in honor of the British Commonwealth Day on Monday, in an outfit copying one of the images of Elizabeth II, The Daily Mail writes.

Attentive Internet users instantly recalled that Elizabeth II attended Commonwealth Day 2019 in a very similar outfit. It's no secret that purple is one of Her Majesty's favorite colors. Camilla probably knows this. It is possible that she purposely repeated the Queen's bow to pay homage to her in this way.

This was the first major event for Camilla Parker Bowles since the queen gave the duchess her consent to use the title of queen consort when her husband, Prince Charles, becomes king.

Elizabeth II, who recently recovered from the coronavirus, had hoped to attend the service in person, but after discussions with members of the royal household, asked her son Charles to represent her at the event. The decision not to attend the ceremony was presumably made primarily for the comfort of the 95-year-old queen, who has recently been walking with a cane.
