Beauty queen from Brazil, 27-year-old Gleycy Correia, died after nearly three months of being in a coma, the Daily Mirror reported.
The winner of several regional beauty contests was admitted to the intensive care unit on 4 April after she suffered massive bleeding and cardiac arrest. The woman had undergone a scheduled surgery to remove her tonsils five days earlier.
According to priest Lidian Alves Oliveira, an acquaintance of the deceased's family, Correia was in a coma for the next two and a half months "with no signs of neurological brain activity."
