A court has rejected actress Amber Heard's request for a new trial with her ex-husband, Hollywood actor Johnny Depp, in a defamation case, the newspaper USA Today reported.

A motion to that effect was filed earlier this month by Heard's lawyers. They insisted that the process was flawed and should be held again. The court found that there were no significant violations.

Depp's defense, in turn, noted that the jury lists were available two months before the start of the trial, and therefore Heard's team could decide this issue in advance.
