Three months after becoming Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton received a new title from King Charles III, E! News reported.
The Princess of Wales became an honorary colonel in the Irish Guards. Ten years ago, her husband, Prince William, was awarded the same title. As a result of this change, Prince William will now inherit the title of Colonel of the Welsh Guards from King Charles.
The Queen's consort Camilla also received a new title, becoming Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. Prince Andrew carried this title until January, but was deprived of both military ranks and royal patronage.
