Pattinson complains about Hollywood's tough demands and talks about losing weight

16:23, January 21

British actor Robert Pattinson, 36, admitted that he once ate just potatoes for two weeks to lose weight. He complained in an interview with ES Magazine about Hollywood's strict requirements for a man's body.

The "Twilight" and "Batman" star stressed that he has no problem with his own body perception, but he considers the producers' demands crazy. "It’s very, very easy to fall into that pattern as well, even if you’re just watching your calorie intake, it’s extraordinarily addictive — and you don’t quite realise how insidious it is until it’s too late," he warned.

According to Pattinson, he actually once ate nothing but potatoes for two weeks. "I once ate nothing but potatoes for two weeks, as a detox. Just boiled potatoes and Himalayan pink salt. Apparently it’s a cleanse… you definitely lose weight," the actor revealed.

Pattinson clarified that he has tried almost every diet, including the ketodiet. "Oh, there’s a diet where you just eat charcuterie boards and cheese all the time?” But I didn’t realise that you can’t have beer as it completely defeats the purpose," he laughed.
