Britney Spears' mental health and substance abuse problems have become so serious that her friends are planning an intervention.
According to TMZ, citing a source from the singer's entourage, her friends fear that "she is going to die."
According to the tabloid, Britney's entourage is alarmed by her erratic behavior. She takes medication that energizes her and increasingly gets out of control and doesn't take medication that stabilizes her.
The star's manager rented a house in the Los Angeles area for several months, and the plan was to take an unsuspecting Britney there, where in the presence of her husband Sam Asghari, her manager, and doctors to try to convince her that she needed help.
The plan was for Britney to live in a rented house for 2 months while she receives both medical treatment and psychological counseling.
But the idea fell through because Britney partially found out about the plan. According to sources, Spears nevertheless agreed to meet with the doctor.
