Luca Gallone on supporting Armenia, settling in Yerevan and his business news

11:05, March 6

World-known blogger and magician Luca Gallone, who had gained a huge recognition after his participation at Britain's Got Talent, says Armenia is his second home. During his first interview with NEWS.am STYLE, the blogger with more than 1,7 million followers on Instagram, had confessed he was in love with Armenia, where he now has his own company. We've had another talk with Luca, during which he talked about settling in Yerevan and his business successes.

Luca, during our previous talk, you said Armenia had become your second home. How much time do you spend in Yerevan, now?

I love Armenia and spend a large proportion of my time here, in between my travels. It’s very much home a base and I have an apartment in Yerevan.

I enjoy the daily life of the city, the friendly people, and how it’s small size means you can get around easily and conveniently. It is very convenient!

You've been always supporting Armenia during its hardest times, and you do a huge job by informing your millions of followers about the issues here. Did your messages somehow reach your foreign followers?

It’s never nice to see people suffer in any part of the world, but it definitely hits you harder when it’s the people of a country so close to your heart. I noticed the media were not talking about what was happening in Armenia, so decided to share and information about what was going on to my global audience, and I’m pleased to say this really helped raise awareness of the situation. Many of my followers were shocked at what was happening, and yet they had heard nothing of it from the mainstream media. Luckily, with social media, we can spread the message.

I’m sure you’re already known in Yerevan. How is the reaction of the people here by seeing you in the streets?

I often get recognized in Yerevan, and people will come and say hello or ask for a photo. I am very happy to meet the wonderful people of Yerevan on my strolls through the streets of the city.

You have your company here in Armenia. How it is to work in Armenia? What news do you have regarding it?

Business is good, and it’s very interesting to work in Armenia, from a foreigner's perspective. You don’t realize that there are some phenomenal companies who operate on a global scale, who originate from this country. One of these major success stories, Soft Construct, I am pleased to say are now a partner of ours. We are working on a very exciting project currently, which is the opening of their ftNFT physical NFT store in Dubai. Following the successful December 2022 opening of a first store in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, the ambitious tech company Fastex has moved quickly to create further NFT history in the UAE. My team at Distinction Talent (my company) Project Manager, Anzhela Karapetyan, from Armenia and Content Manager, Vera Bomstad, from Norway, have been fantastic in arranging this collaboration, and we are very excited to travel to Dubai, where I will host the opening ceremony, perform some magic and create some videos of the event. It promises to be a spectacular occasion.
