Australia woman feeds grandmother's ashes in pasta sauce to brother as ‘joke'

16:03, May 29

Australian radio show hosts were left horrified after a woman on their show said she fed her grandmother's ashes to her brother as a "joke," NYP reports.

A woman named Cheyenne made a creepy confession on an episode of "Fifi, Fev & Nick," claiming that she and her mom first tasted her grandmother's remains and then served the dish to her unsuspecting brother in pasta sauce.

“My grandmother passed away last August and was cremated,” Cheyenne explained. “Obviously my family and I were grieving, so one night I decided to cheer my mom up and suggested she try grandma.”

She said her brother had recently been released from prison, and she made him pasta with ashes.

“This is the part I haven’t told anyone about,” the Australian explained. “I thought it would be funny to play a prank on him... so I put some of my grandma’s ashes in the pasta sauce.”

The woman did not say whether she told her brother about the peculiar additive in the sauce, but said that she has since tasted her grandmother's ashes again. Cheyenne admitted she has a "weird addiction" to the ashes and believes eating them helps her connect with her late grandmother. “I feel like we are closer than ever,” she said. “Grandma will live in me forever.”

The presenters posted a recording of the conversation on Instagram, and the listeners were shocked.

“It was disgusting,” one said. Others expressed doubt about the veracity of the story, noting that Cheyenne made up the story for attention.
