Father Jakub Bartczak, a priest from Wrocław, Poland, seeks to bring young people to church through hip hop music (See the video here).
The cleric writes hip-hop songs with religious themes. Fr. Bartczak, however, does not repeat evangelical sermons in his songs, but rather asks questions that may interest nonreligious youth.
“When they listen to hip-hop, they realize that we have similar interests, and they become more spirited,” the priest said.
His songs have lot more questions than answers.
Father Jakub Bartczak believes that such an approach will push many to turn to religion and not consider it a collection of dogmas.
