American singer Britney Spears showed fans a letter from the U.S. Congress with a proposal to meet, the artist wrote in the Instagram account.
"Your journey towards justice will inspire and empower many others who are improperly silenced," it reads. Spears, 40, admitted to feeling heard. The politicians offered to meet the artist and congratulated her on winning her custody case. They added that they had followed the process and identified "holes in the law" about custody and guardianship. The U.S. needs to refine its custody laws, they concluded.
