Christina Aguilera is comfortable with her sexuality, as it has always been a big part of her life. Last year, the 43-year-old singer launched sexual health brand Playground.
“It was a very comfortable and natural space for me because [sexuality] was such a big part of my life, my world, my music,” Christina told AdWeek. “I have experienced first-hand the double standards [applied to women]; and I felt ashamed for being open, for expressing myself sexually and for trying to own my body, and for trying to empower other women. People are afraid of it."
Also, Aguilera wants to help others feel comfortable with their sexuality and take control of their sexual health. “I want [my daughter] to grow up without any shame or stigma and feel comfortable as a woman,” she added. “I want my son to understand and appreciate women’s struggles and what they go through.”
