Florida rapper Julio Foolio was shot and killed in Tampa, just two days after celebrating his 26th birthday.
Foolio, whose real name is Charles Jones, was staying at a Holiday Inn in Tampa after being "kicked out" of an Airbnb rental where he was partying and "reportedly being ambushed," his lawyer Lewis Fuso said.
Tampa police confirmed one man was killed in the shooting and three others were injured and taken to the hospital. Their condition is stable.
Before his death, Jones shared an Instagram story showing him celebrating his 26th birthday with a pool party with friends and fans at an Airbnb.
Police said Jones and three other victims were in their cars in the parking lot when unknown assailants opened fire.
Jones was a known member of the Jacksonville KTA gang, which has been in a long-running feud with rival gangs, First Coast News reported.
Jones' cousin and three teenagers were killed in a gang-related shooting in 2018 during a birthday party for Jones' brother, authorities said.
