René Redzepi brings Noma to Los Angeles — $1,500 dining experience

23:01, January 13

World-renowned chef René Redzepi, the culinary mastermind behind Copenhagen’s acclaimed Noma, is bringing a temporary pop-up of the restaurant to Silver Lake, Los Angeles, running from March 11 to June 26, reports the New York Post.

The price? $1,500 per person, covering drinks, taxes, and gratuity. Redzepi explains the high cost is necessary to bring 130 staff members from Denmark, covering their housing, transportation, and even schooling for their children.

The pop-up menu will feature Noma’s signature Nordic style: seasonal dishes made with wild ingredients, pickled fruits and vegetables, creative preparations of crab, sea urchin, and foraged plants, paired with unique sauces and juices. Techniques like fermentation, smoking, and dehydration turn each dish into a work of art.

In addition to dining, guests can purchase Noma’s signature products — hot sauces, garums, vinegars, and coffee. Redzepi also plans collaborations with local chefs, special pop-up events, and hands-on mentorship opportunities for students and alumni from underserved communities.

“We’re doing this because big experiences are what we value. It’s not just a meal — it’s a chance to learn, connect, and share an experience together,” Redzepi said.

With only 42 seats available per day, four days a week, reservations will be highly limited, ensuring an intimate and exclusive dining experience.
