Bookmakers are now taking bets on the events, not only in the world of sports, but also in the show business. According to Kultura - VRN, three months before the “Oscar” award ceremony, bookmakers started taking bets on movies that can receive this award. The lists feature 21 titles, and it is interesting that Twilight and Bond movies are not among them.
The main favorite of the bookmakers was the Ben Affleck's movie Operation ‘Argo’, which has received high praise from critics and has collected about $ 100 million in North American box office.
The second place according to the betting rating goes to Steven Spielberg’s historical drama Lincoln, the third is the film adaptation of Hugo's novel Les Miserables from Tom Hooper. The forth is the historical drama from Paul Thomas Anderson about post-war America Master. The fifth place belongs to the Life of Pi from Ang Lee, a strange story of an Indian teenager, who finds himself in the middle of the ocean in the same boat with a Bengal tiger, zebra, hyena and orangutan.
