Hayk Marutyan, Vahagn Khachatryan and Arman Marutyan will soon present new comedy called “Super Mama”. NEWS.am STYLE talked to the actor, screen writer, director and producer Hayk Marutyan.

What is this film about?

The film is about a man who works to earn his living not in honest way, and once he is exhausted and finds himself on the street without home, without car, without anything. Once he sees a newspaper article saying single mothers get home and money from a charitable organization to take care of children. He decides to change his image, to dress as a woman to seize an opportunity. His decision is followed by interesting and unexpected developments. And finally there is a happy end. He falls in love with a girl working for a charitable organization.  Love, separation and finally they are together.

Who is behind the idea?

Our team, the one that worked on “Alabalanitsa” movie. We felt it is right time to present a movie. It’s a comedy, but you can say a lot with the help of humor. The audience will understand everything at the end of the film.

What about the actors?

I am playing the lead character. You could guess there are two leading characters: a man and a woman. The starring: Garik Papoyan, Ani Khachikyan, Andranik harutyunyan, Rafael Yeranosyan, Levon Harutyunyan, Armine Poghosyan, Arman Martirosuan. The directors are Arman Marutyan and Vahagn Khachatryan. The screenwriter is Vardan Zadoyan, and I am a co-author.

How did you choose the actors?

I am the producer, but Arman and Vahag helped me to choose the actors. I have worked with them much.

 Was it hard to play a role of a single mother?

I used to play a woman in “Kargin” TV show, but this was something new. It was not that hard, but very interesting. The guys said I did really good.

Was it filmed in Armenia only?

The story is happening in Armenia, so the movie was filmed in different places throughout Armenia during a month.  I will not specify the exact place, but we showed a very interesting Armenia. When I look at, there is an impression that it is a different country. Believe me, Dilijan that we filmed, is more beautiful than Switzerland, the same about Yerevan. We did everything to present the capital city and the regions in a beautiful way.
