Danish director Lars von Trier has begun filming the third season of The Kingdom, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

The Kingdom's Ghita Norby, Peter Mygind, and Soren Pilmark will return to their roles.

The first season of the TV series about a hospital in which mystical events take place was released in 1994. The premiere of the second took place in 1997.

As reported in December 2020, The Kingdom's third season is due out in 2022, with five episodes planned.
