Today we’ll talk about Sam Raimi's 2002 movie Spider-Man

1.Freddie Prinze Jr., Leonardo DiCaprio, and Heath Ledger were considered for the role of Peter Parker, and director Sam Raimi personally insisted on his candidacy. The title role eventually went to Tobey Maguire.
2.James Franco auditioned for the role of Peter Parker but eventually played Harry Osborne.
3.The role of the Green Goblin was offered to Nicolas Cage and John Malkovich. Willem Dafoe has never been considered for the role of the Green Goblin. However, after Willem read the script, he began to actively seek this role. In order to prove that he is suitable, Willem filmed several scenes in his hotel room, where he read the role of the Green Goblin. After he was approved, Defoe asked for permission to perform all his tricks on his own, without an understudy. After filming was completed, he asked Sam Raimi to somehow fit his character into the sequel. Sam agreed.
4.Alicia Witt, Mena Suvari, and Elisha Cuthbert were considered for the role of Mary Jane Watson. The role was given to Kirsten Dunst.
