'Demands for more international pressure': Fox11 Araksya Karapetyan's reference to expected humanitarian crisis in Artsakh (VIDEO)

13:37, December 19

Araksya Karapetyan, an Emmy Award-winning host of the American Fox 11 TV channel, spoke about the ongoing blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan.

The journalist prepared another report, in which she speaks about the closure of the Lachin corridor and the danger of a humanitarian crisis in Artsakh.

"Demands for more international pressure. Although natural gas is finally flowing to Artsakh after days without heat for the 120,000 residents living in the region— the road blockade continues.

The only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the rest of the world remains closed, which means it is impossible to transport medical supplies, food, or goods. As the harsh winter approaches the seriousness of the situation is intensifying- and a humanitarian disaster is imminent unless action is taken NOW," Araksya wrote along with the publication.

Earlier, the journalist made a publication concerning Azerbaijan's closure of the only road connecting the Republic of Armenia to Artsakh, the Lachin corridor and the blockade of Artsakh. "There is so much happening around the world… at times it can feel overwhelming and disheartening.

Even though you personally might be go about your day to day life, I think we must always be aware of what’s happening around the world and work towards raising awareness.

In Armenia— Right now a humanitarian crisis is unfolding. For three days now the road connecting Armenia to Artskah is blocked —preventing travel and supplies from being delivered. In addition to that, the natural gas line has been cut for the 120,000 people in freezing temperatures," she wrote.
