Daily Express: If you want to uncover one of Europe's best-kept secrets, head to Armenia

The stunning country of Armenia is one such destination that has fewer tourists than many other countries on the continent, but that could soon change as the number of tourists begins to rise, writes the UK's Daily Express.

Yerevan is quickly gaining popularity as a must-visit destination. The city is the capital of the country and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with a current population of just over a million people.

Blogger Kami, who runs the website Kami & The Rest of the World, said that she is drawn to this country again and again. “Are you planning a trip to Armenia? A good choice! This is one of the most charming countries with a rich history, beautiful landscapes, hospitable people and amazing monuments. I have been lucky enough to visit Armenia about 10 times already (I have already lost count), and I am sure that I will return there in the future. There is something attractive about this country that draws you here again and again. I’m sure you will feel it too when you visit Armenia.”

Thijs Broekkamp of the travel review website Nomadasaurus agrees. “From enjoying the world's longest cable car ride through the stunning landscapes of Vorotan Canyon to admiring some of the oldest monasteries in history, these are just some of the reasons why you should travel to Armenia. When you travel to Armenia, do you often wonder why more people don't put Armenia higher on their bucket list? Not many countries can boast that they have preserved their rich cultural heritage dating back to ancient times.”

“This small country will attract you with its breathtaking landscapes, ancient monuments and unparalleled hospitality. If you want to uncover one of Europe's best-kept secrets, head to Armenia!”
