American singer Usher has revealed his secrets to staying fit, which include fasting on Wednesdays, drinking cayenne pepper, and meditating.
In the morning he drinks celery juice. “I drink a drink made with lemon, ginger, water and cayenne pepper. I drink it hot,” he told the Wall Street Journal.
Usher says he wakes up early enough to “have a chance to think.” Then he meditates and does yoga.
For breakfast, the 45-year-old singer prefers “scrambled eggs and cheese,” but his favorite is poached eggs. At the same time, he likes to have breakfast after physical activity.
The eight-time Grammy Award winner also revealed that he fasts mid-week because it was something his “grandmother practiced.” “I don't eat on Wednesdays. I usually try to start it around 11pm the night before and then just drink water all day on Wednesday,” he said.
And when it comes to his fitness regime, the pop star usually starts with "walking or certain knee exercises." “Besides that, swimming is a really good thing to do to help me move and ride my bike,” he explained.
