2024 Olympic Games’ organizers lift sex ban on athletes

21:23, March 19

Organizers of the 2024 Olympic Games have lifted the ban on sex for athletes. The Olympic Village will be supplied with 300,000 condoms, TMZ reports.

Sex for athletes was banned at the Tokyo Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but coronavirus rules have largely been lifted.

The Olympic Village, which will house 14,500 athletes and support staff, will distribute 300,000 condoms... enough for each person to have sex several times a day... in addition to other amenities.

“Working with the athletes' commission, we wanted to create places where athletes would feel comfortable,” said village director Laurent Michaud. Condoms were distributed also at the 1988 Seoul Olympics to raise awareness of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
